Project Overview
Futbala is a next-generation fantasy football manager game where players are represented by Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs). It stands as the first and most comprehensive football metaverse, utilizing cutting-edge blockchain technologies. Futbala enables users to manage their football teams and maintain full ownership of each team member.
Project Requirements
The client required the development of a game that would enable players to earn real-world rewards through a play-to-earn model. The game designers at BloxBytes utilized the integrity of blockchain technology to create in-game items and NFTs. Despite sudden spikes in user numbers, we decided to implement a new economic structure with a controlled entry price. In the initial phase, we determined the necessity of a Blockchain network within the game ecosystem to ensure transparency, security, and low transaction fees. Additionally, it was essential to develop and deploy smart contracts that would enable the admin to mint accessory-based NFTs.
The development of two types of NFTs was required: Game NFTs for players and Gaming Assets. Furthermore, the client requested a governance token, necessitating the selection of a reliable and appropriate protocol. The game was also to include its own marketplace to facilitate user activities such as selling, buying, and auctioning NFT collections. Moreover, the platform needed to support multiple wallets, including Metamask and Fortmatic. Finally, we were tasked with building additional features and options to enhance the experience for gamers and Futbala enthusiasts alike.
BloxBytes Solutions
To develop a new-generation play-to-earn game model, we first gathered and evaluated client requirements to propose effective solutions. We chose to implement the Polygon Blockchain in the game's ecosystem to ensure transparency, security, and low transaction fees. Additionally, we deployed several smart contracts: ERC-721 to allow users to mint their own non-fungible tokens (NFTs), and ERC-1155 to enable administrators to mint accessory-based NFTs.
We also created the Futbala governance token, Clash, using a reliable new ERC-20 protocol. This token allows users to vote on decisions related to the future development roadmap and proposals from the DAO, including votes on high-value assets within Clash. The total supply cap for the token is set at 420 million. The marketplace we developed enables users to buy, sell, and auction NFTs, primarily focused on soccer trading, and charges fees for each transaction. It also supports various wallets, including Metamask and Fortmatic. Furthermore, the game offers a wide range of options and features for users.
Features of the Platform

Players can obtain NFT rewards via quest, match reward or player’s stadium.
Cheers (Meta)
Users can obtain Cheers (Consumables) through daily quests, matches, and their stadium.
Rare Skills
As the player’s experience increases, he will be able to access increasingly rare skills.
Results - This is where BloxBytes comes in
Futbala is a new-generation, feature-rich game that includes training sessions to enhance in-game skills. Gamers receive tokens for each match they play, along with rewards such as additional training sessions or skill improvement tokens, which are used to enhance certain aspects of the game’s mechanics. As a result, a revenue stream is generated from Futbaler minting fees, enabling users to initiate a scouting session by paying the Scouting Fee. If successful, a new young Futbaler is generated and added to their team roster; they also receive an increased weekly salary based on their strength and skills.
We have kept transaction fees at 4.9% – slightly lower than the industry standard of 5%. During the game, sponsors can advertise their products by displaying logos on players’ uniforms, and brands can purchase ad space during matches by buying spots in a virtual stadium. The earnings from the day’s sales collected through the marketplace, salaries, sponsorships, and advertisements are allocated as follows: 60% to user rewards, 20% to the Futbala Reserve, and the remaining 20% to the Futbala Company.
